Job Objective:
Sales growth from development of higher-performing products, cost reductions through yield improvement, sustainability for cost or customer reasons, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibility:
1. Responsible to ensure that quality policy, Data integrity policy, EHS Policy and required regulatory guidelines like ICH, cGMP, WHO, Schedule-M is understood and implemented in the department.
2. To plan day to day activity of R and D and Pilot plant.
3. To ensure that all the persons employed in the department are trained and evaluated for the procedure.
4. To perform complete review, verification, and validation for new product to ensure conformity to requirement and fitness for use.
5. Coordinate for other department for smooth functioning of the department.
6. To review the developments and continual improvement in process and quality.
7. Lead key projects with R and D to support business goals.
8. Asses the requirement for new products based on the market needs in cooperation with sales department and selected customer sample.
9. Transfer new technology, product and manufacturing process into company.
10. To assist production department for troubleshooting, process development, process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement.
11. To plan experiments and to perform evaluation related to vendor qualification.
12. To review and assessment of process related changes.
13. To impart training to subordinate and production for new product, product development, changes, scale up, handling of material etc.
14. To develop product based upon QbD and risk based approach.
15. To review process development report.
16. To carryout internal audit for other departments.
17 To participate in risk assessment.
18. To report deviation/non-conformance to QA for further investigation and CAPA.
